We process the details you enter on our server to generate your preview and PDF. We do not retain seller names, buyer names, item descriptions, VIN or hull numbers, or the document body in the document-session record. The tool does not require an account.

If you request a PDF by email, we store the email address you enter, whether you opted into product updates, delivery status, and the document session needed to connect that request to the generated preview. The session retains limited non-sensitive fields such as state, item type, price band data, language, and whether notarization guidance was shown.

We record backend funnel events such as page views, template choices, state selections, previews, PDF email requests, and feature-interest clicks. If PostHog is enabled, it may use cookies or similar browser storage to measure product usage. We do not send raw item description text, seller or buyer names, VIN or hull numbers, or document body text to analytics tools. Bill of Sale Now keeps sale details on the document, not in analytics. Email records are retained only when you request delivery or product updates.

Analytics boundaries

PostHog is configured for explicit product events rather than form autocapture. Session recording is disabled and Do Not Track preferences are respected. Analytics may receive the page, general device and referral information, chosen state or template, and workflow outcomes. It does not receive names, VINs, item descriptions, email-field values, sale terms, PDF contents, or preview text.

Service providers and retention

Railway hosts the application and database, PostHog provides optional product analytics, and Resend handles requested email delivery. These providers process limited information on our behalf. Operational and delivery records are retained while needed to run, secure, and evaluate the service or while marketing consent remains active. We do not sell personal information.
